
Shun Japanese knives are forged from VG-10 high-carbon steel, which forms a mirror-polished cutting edge that is exceedingly sharp, long lasting and easy to maintain. Each blade is clad with 16 micro-thin layers of pure stainless Damascus-style steel that is virtually rustproof and reflects the craftsmanship of a centuries-old tradition of Japanese knife making. Full tangs extend the length of the handle for strength and balance. The unique D-shaped, resin infused hardwood handles are comfortable to grip and easy to control.
